The concrete trend in interiors has been a pretty slow burner. Products made from concrete first started to appear a good few years ago but it wasn’t until recently that the trend really caught on with companies starting to produce all kinds of concrete accessories for the home. I’ve been pinning some of my favourite concrete products for some time now and you can take a look at what has caught my eye over on my Concrete Trend Pinterest board. The latest brand to pique my interest is a small Polish company called I Like Beton. All the products are hand-cast and hand processed in Poland with a strong focus on simplicity and usability. Their portfolio currently consists of concrete bowls and lamps, but will soon expand to include chairs, plant pots and clocks. All the products not only look really great but each one is completely unique and not to mention highly durable. As you can see from the images, these concrete accessories look great in contemporary home interiors and this utilitarian material can actually look really quite elegant. What do you guys think? Back in the 1970s, my dad used to make concrete plant pots for our garden, so I associate them with back then alongside bookshelves made with bricks and planks! But these you have shown are much more chic and up-to-date. I like the more finished/polished items best, like those fruit bowls in the photos with the dog (what a cutie!)
I always like the look of these in minimalist style homes because they add such an interesting texture to them! The chairs and bowls are lovely – you’d never think they were concrete would you?! Very nice! xx
