Danish Design Brand MENU

Menu_Grethe Meyer_LocationI am a big fan of Scandinavian design. I love its simplicity, its elegance and its minimalism. It speaks to me on an emotional level and when I see Scandinavian interiors I am filled with an overwhelming sense of inner peace and calm. Perhaps its the earthy or monochromatic colour schemes or maybe it is the use of natural materials, I’m not entirely sure. But what I do know is that those northern neighbours of ours certainly know how to make a home look good. A few weeks ago I discovered another great design brand that I have fallen in love with. Danish design brand MENU was founded in 1976 and collaborates with some of the most talented designers in the world.

MENU is all about high quality design with a crisp Scandinavian look and they call it soft minimalism. As a company they are passionate about design, new materials and clever details, and about making design matter. The products that they create are not only innovative, featuring many clever little functional details, but they also evoke feelings. According to the company, each new product that they design always has either a new function, a new material or a new production method. I don’t know about you but I’m already sold. if you need further convincing you can check out the gorgeous gallery below.

  • Love it, love all of it.

It reminds me of a portuguese brand I saw in exibithion at Harrods. I thinks the name is Delightfull or someting and they had this great piece that you’ll need to know: brubeck, a classical chic style, so good!
