The glittering 1930s: Deco Diamond by Hemingway Design for Graham & Brown
The glittering 1930s: Deco Diamond

Celebrating great British creativity, the Vintage collection of wallpaper, designed by Hemingway Design as part of the award-winning Vintage Festival, is now available to buy from Graham & Brown.

The collection contains four designs representing four different decades: The glittering 1930s, the chic 1950s, the free-flowing 1960s, and the wildly glamorous 1970s.

Deco Diamond represents the glittering 1930s, taking inspiration from the emerald onyx ornaments, enamel kitchenware, and Wayne Hemingway’s own collection of 78 record covers from the 1930s. Deco Diamond vintage wallpaper brings a contemporary flare to the alarmingly true color palette of the 1930s.

The chic 1950s: Grid by Hemingway Design for Graham & Brown
The chic 1950s: Grid

The chic 1950s is represented by Grid, a fun and funky retro print that was inspired by the classic British caff table tops of the 1950s. Perfect for fans of mid-century modern design, Hemingway’s Grid brings a perfect feel of the 50s into modern designer wallpaper.

The free-flowing 1960s: Loopylines by Hemingway Design for Graham & Brown
The free-flowing 1960s: Loopylines

The free-flowing 1960s are portrayed in Loopylines. Celebrating the modernist movement of the swinging 60s, Loopylines lends a free-flowing and fancy free feeling to any room.

The wildly glamorous 1970s: Do the Stretch by Hemingway Design for Graham & Brown
The wildly glamorous 1970s: Do the Stretch

The wildly glamorous 1970s are represented by Do the Stretch. Embracing the earthy color palette of the 1970s and showcasing the graphic design style that harks back to the glam rock and science fiction mania that was so omnipresent in the 70s, Do the Stretch encapsulates volumes of the decade’s intricacies in a simple and graceful design.

To be perfectly honest I’m having trouble deciding which paper I like best from this collection. But I think perhaps Loopylines just takes the edge. What about you?

  • Great patterns! I really liked the Grid pattern in the middle, especially the red couch that blends it well with it. Graham and Brown are coming out with some really good wallpaper these days.

  • These are great aren’t they, I think the top pic is my fave! I first saw these at Vinatge last year – Gerardine Hemmingway showed them to us, and was very gracious to me as I mistakingly thought they were by the Mini Moderns! In my defence it was the first time I’d ever seen them, so didn’t get to do my research properly! (me and my big mouth!) :-0 xx

    • Yeah not sure what happened there, every other post used to be wallpaper or wallcoverings, but fear not, I am endeavoring to bring more wallpaper love to the blog from now on!
