This summer, garden sun loungers are on my mind. Over the past few years, my husband and I have dreamt of long lazy summer days relaxing in our garden, listening to the sound of the birds and just drifting off for a late afternoon nap. But with two small children running around causing chaos, we quickly realised that it would be a little while before we could make that our reality.
Well readers, I am happy to announce that the time has finally arrived and I feel like the summer of 2022 could finally be our year. The children are fairly independent now, we don’t need to watch them like hawks and they can amuse themselves for a fair length of time.
So naturally, as the sun starts to emerge and there is talk of an impending heatwave, our attention turns to garden sun loungers. Our current garden furniture is very practical. We have a small dining set from Ketter, a wooden bench and various reclining wooden chairs, but nothing that we would consider to be particularly comfortable or adequate for summer napping or relaxing in the sun.
Today I am rounding up 8 of the best garden sun loungers for relaxing in style this summer. I’d usually trawl the internet looking for my favourite picks but I have now discovered that there is a much easier way to shop the market.
The ufurnish.com (affiliate) platform brings together 110+ of the UK’s best-known retailers including John Lewis, Dunlem and MADE as well as exciting independents such as Rockett St George, Piglet in Bed and The French Bedroom Company.
Their platform makes it simpler to find that elusive perfect product that is just right for our home – so
that we can all spend more time loving the homes we create, rather than being frustrated trying to create them.
So let’s see what I found.
