Celebrating Colour with the Brabantia #LoveColour Campaign

Disclosure: I was gifted this bin by Brabantia.

I think I’ve mentioned before that I have appointed myself as a brand ambassador for Brabantia right? They haven’t asked me to be one, I just really like the company and all their products. I’m constantly impressed with the quality of their products and I’ve enjoyed learning about their recent focus on corporate social responsibility with their #LoveNature campaign. But I also really like how, as a company, they are very aware of designing products that are not only high quality and extremely functional, but that also look really great.

This is nothing new obviously, but I’m not sure that other companies who make the same kind of products – waste management, laundry solutions, food storage and preparation items – take the same approach. Brabantia pays a lot of attention to how these products can fit into our homes, look stylish and make our chores more pleasurable.

Their latest campaign is #LoveColour which encourages us to add a dash of design to our homes, with the beautiful and practical Brabantia products that come in many colours to match all interiors and moods. The TouchBin, for example, comes in numerous colours, including white, mint, red, black, pink and matt steel to name a few, so no matter how you decide to decorate and style your home there will be a bin to compliment your scheme.

Here you can see the 30-litre TouchBin in white looking perfectly at home in a minimal, contemporary, monochromatic setting. It is the perfect accompaniment to this kind of home and instead of sticking out like an ugly bin normally would, it actually looks like it was designed to fit in this space.

It has a ‘soft-touch’ opening and closing system so the lid opens in a very controlled fashion and the unique hinge design means that the lid also opens silently. Like all the Brabantia bins I have in my home, it has the removable plastic inner bucket, which makes the bin very easy to clean. This inner bucket also has little ventilation holes so when you try to remove a bin liner there is no vacuum effect which often makes it very difficult to remove the full liner.

Since I’ve converted to Brabantia bins I always buy the matching bin liners. I know that they are more expensive than the generic ones you can buy from the supermarket, but I love the way that they are a perfect fit for the bin, they don’t overhang loads, they are great quality and never rip. I will never go back to regular bin liners as long as I use Brabantia bins.

So whether you opt for a monochrome bin like the one seen here or you feel a bit more adventurous and go for something even more colourful, you can rest assured that Brabantia has you covered when it comes to choosing matching products to bring that splash of colour to your home. Brabantia Household Items in yellow
