Tiles are one of my favourite interior products and I’ve always had a little bit of a love affair with them. They have come so far over the past few years thanks to technological advances and the effects that can be created these days are just so exciting. We are now seeing tiles of all different shapes and sizes, tiles that are textured, tiles that are 3D, as well as digitally printed tiles that mimic other materials so closely that it is almost impossible to tell the difference. Tiles are no longer simply functional. They have an aesthetic value which allows us to create the most stunning of statements in our homes. Take these amazing porcelain tiles from The Baked Tile Co. for example. The chipboard effect tiles are practical and hard-wearing but at the same time they are fun and unusual.
I love the way that these chipboard effect tiles add warmth and texture to this bathroom (above). Wood is definitely not a material that you would usually consider for the bathroom, but with these tiles you can get the chipboard effect but in a much more functional and practical format. The tiles can be used on the walls and floors and there are a number of colours and patterns available in the range which allow you to create very different effects. The tiles, whilst making a big statement, are understated enough to use at home, but they would look equally good in commercial spaces.
Chipboard is back. And it’s seriously sexy. The modern age version has seen this material come of age and anyone looking to achieve a contemporary look throughout their home would do well to consider a chipboard-inspired tile.
Combining the industrial charm of exposed chipboard with the practicality of a porcelain tile, chipboard-inspired tiles are this summer’s hottest wall and floor covering. They are striking, attention-grabbing and speak volumes about the inhabitant’s style.
If you’re not bold enough to cover an entire room in a chipboard-inspired tile, use it to define a practical workspace in the home, or simply add texture and interest to one specific area.

What do you guys think? Would you be brave enough to experiment with chipboard effect tiles in your home?
Loved the yellow geometric chair. At first I didn’t know what it was, but then I took a closer look!
The chairs look great, don’t they? Wonder how comfortable they will be?
Really, Stacey. Chipboard is working wonders after wood. I recently had a renovation for my house which I had to replace the flooring for my home office. I considered the advice of my best friend who recommended this one. And I’m so grateful that I considered her suggestion. I’m so in love with these :)
Great to hear that you went ahead with these tiles. I hope you enjoy your new space!
