Hôtel Parister : A Wellness Hotel in Paris

Parister Hotel Paris Lobby

Today’s post features a seriously swoonworthy Parisian hotel that I have added to my design-led travel hotspots list. In the words of Audrey Hepburn “Paris is always a good idea” and when a hotel looks this good, who can disagree? Situated in rue Saulnier in the 9th arondissement of Paris is Hôtel Parister, a five star hotel designed by the architecture firm Beckman N’Thépé that boasts 45 rooms and suites. The interiors were designed by Céline Boullenger and exude Parisian glamour with a contemporary twist. So let’s take a look around this wellness hotel in Paris.

The hotel can be found on a quiet street in the Faubourg Montmartre neighborhood, which has become the heart of the Parisian creative community. It is located right behind the Folies Bergères and a few blocks from the Palais Garnier and the major department stores Galeries Lafayettes and Le Printemps on Boulevard Haussman. It is also within easy walking distance from The Gare du Nord, The Montmartre Basilica and The Moulin Rouge.

The hotel is comprised of two buildings, a traditional Haussmann style building and a new build. The communal spaces – lounge areas, restaurant and bar – are arranged in a horseshoe around the interior courtyard. This peaceful space provides an area away from the street noise and is softened with greenery and aromatic plants.

The hotel was the idea of entrepreneur and hotelier Nicolas Nonon who believes that success arises from collaborative work. This belief led him to gather together various partners that have worked together to create a stunning hotel that is full of life and energy. The cocktail bar is run by Le Distrait, a renowned cocktail bar in Paris. The wellness program is created and managed by the Parisian start-up CYD and its team of certified trainers.

It is designed for active people, who enjoy daydreaming and having fun… basically everyone who enjoys life’s true pleasures of body and soul.

Breakfast is served daily in Les Passerelles, the food and cocktail bar, and lunch is served Tuesdays to Saturdays. There doesn’t seem to be the option to have dinner in the hotel although given the location this shouldn’t pose a problem. Room service is served until 1am though and there are a small selection of light meals available.

As I mentioned in the title, Hôtel Parister is a wellness hotel. It benefits from a full wellness area with an 20m pool, spa and fitness zone.  Guests can take part in daily yoga classes, Swissball classes, boxing classes, or cross training classes with one of the instructors in residence. You can also go for an early morning running session or book a private bike tour around Paris to see the city from another point of view. There is also an opportunity to relax in the hammam and take advantage of a room dedicated to solo and duo massage. So sounds like there is something for everyone!

The rooms in the hotel ooze Parisian elegance from the ceiling moldings, and the solid walnut closets, to the romance of designer wallpaper, and the brass ornaments. The rooms benefit from large windows with some rooms offering a view over the Parisian rooftops as well as exclusive access to the vast terraces.
