In May 2011, wallpaper and fabric designer Louise Body launched a striking new wallpaper collection entitled ‘Paper Tiles’ featuring digitally printed Victorian tile patterns combined with her own illustrations and designs. The seven decorative tile designs were inspired by Louise’s commission to design the restroom foyer area at Decorex last year for which she experimented with decorative Victorian tiles. The new collection takes this a step further and I think you’ll agree the results are pretty stunning.
The delicate and beautiful new wallpapers retail at £25/m and offer an economical alternative to decorative ceramic tiles. The designs are enhanced by Louise’s colour palette and the addition of her photographs and delicate drawings of flowers. They are printed onto hard-wearing, coated, non-woven paper and I think they would look great in a kitchen or bathroom or even a hallway. And as if we need any more convincing of the brilliance of this paper, it can be easily applied by pasting the wall as opposed to the paper.
