As we all know there has been a bit of a revolution in the mattress world. There are now a whole host of cool mattress companies out there delivering mattresses in boxes and offering 100 days or more to try them out. The first company to do this that I discovered was Eve and I immediately fell in love with their happy yellow mattresses and their beautiful branding. And I am excited to report that Eve has now extended its range to include a baby mattress.
After months and months of rigorous testing to ensure that the mattress passes all safety regulations, it is now available to purchase. Hurrah! I was hoping to get one for my little one’s cot but as she’s never actually slept in it, there is no point now. I’ll hopefully be moving her into her sister’s room after Christmas so I can finally get a good night’s sleep!
What attracted me to the Eve baby Mattress, apart from the lovely yellow edges, is that it is suitable from birth to six years of age and is available as a cot mattress or a cot bed mattress. It also has a lot of features that make it an attractive choice. Let’s take a look at some of them.
Handcrafted in the UK, the Eve baby mattress meets all UK and EU safety standards and is designed to provide comfort and support right through a baby’s early years. Eve is, as ever, committed to quality and every baby mattress comes with a five year guarantee.
The cover of the mattress is created from a special 3D fabric which is super soft, and 400 times more breathable than standard mattress fabrics. The cover is also removable, machine-washable at 60° C and fast-drying. Both the cot and cot bed mattress come with a waterproof panel which protects against any leaks and spills.
The mattress is full of high-quality pocket springs that provide support for the child’s back, neck and head. It also contains high density resilience foam that surrounds the pocket springs and is quality assured for use in the nursery. It provides an extra layer of comfort and thickness. The porous structure allows air to flow from top to bottom and side to side. It wicks away moisture and distributes heat evenly to aid temperature regulation.
Eve has pledged to donate 15% of profits from the Eve baby mattress to The Lullaby Trust which provides expert advice on safer sleeping for babies.
Ooh, that is sooo super cute! What a great idea, after all why should the adults get all the comfort?!
I LOVE this idea. I can’t tell you how much we adore our Eve mattress and now that Luna has outgrown her cotbed, we’ve placed an order for a single bed version. If we’re lucky enough to have any more kids, this is the mattress they’re getting.
Great to see Eve diversifying into the nursery – and I love that they donate a portion of profits to The Lullaby Trust. Definitely a brand to keep an eye on for the future.. xx
We love our Eve and I’m so pleased that babies now have the option too
