Primark Homeware isn’t generally a preference of mine when it comes to buying soft furnishings or small accessories for my home. Primark has always seemed to be extremely low quality to me so I generally avoid it and opt for products that are made to last. Fast fashion isn’t something that my conscience will allow me to invest in and the same goes for homeware. I don’t want pieces that will last a season before ending up in landfill.
Having said that, the new Primark Homeware range for SS22 really caught my eye recently. You all know by now that I adore texture in the home, I love warm autumnal and neutral colour palettes and organic shapes and patterns are definitely right up my street. I’m a big fan of the trend for organic minimalism that I wrote about a few weeks ago and the pieces in this new range would work so well for that trend. But they would also work well if you are trying to achieve the much sought after Japandi aesthetic.
Now obviously I cannot vouch for the quality as I have not seen any of these pieces in the flesh to make that judgement, but I sure as hell will be hot-footing it to the nearest Primark Homeware section tout suite to check it out in person.
I probably wouldn’t go for any of the textiles, as I’ve bought blankets and cushions from Primark before and they just don’t last long due to the poor quality. But these little vases, bowls, candles and decorative bits might just be ok. Fingers crossed!
