Celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee

It’s been a lovely weekend here in Devon and we had a delicious tea party yesterday afternoon to honour the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. I must say I felt pretty sorry for those soggy souls lining the Thames as I watched the festivities from the comfort of my living room. However, the unsurprisingly diabolical British weather seemed to do little to dampen spirits as the nation proudly celebrated 60 years under the Queen’s reign.

In honour of this special day, here are a few of my favourite homeware items suitable for this royal occasion.

Well it may be Monday morning but thanks to the Queen, it’s still the weekend so make the most of it! And if there is anything you have seen for the home this weekend that has got you feeling particularly patriotic, be sure to let me know in the comments!

    • Mee too, I love Jan Constantine. These cushions make me want to redecorate my home in red, white and blue.

  • I had a jolly good time during the jubilee weekend but I have to say I found a few items emblazoned with the Union Jack a tad tacky. But these wallpapers are lovely and do not really scream “Jubilee!” to your face. I especially like the wallpaper with the Big Ben and London bridge print.

    • I did too, a bit of Union jack tat overload. but I tried to pick out some pieces that weren’t quite so gaudy! That wallpaper is my fav too!
