Happy Monday guys! Today we’re talking about fringing in interiors. As I’ve explained here before, I do like to share all sorts of interiors trends with you guys, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I like them myself. I can appreciate them for what they are of course and the reason I feature them here on the blog is because I know that some of you will like them.
I’ve got to admit that fringing is not really a trend I’m a fan of. It may grow on me, of course, like velvet did, but I’m not yet convinced. For the moment, I still see fringing as something you might expect to see at your nanna’s house. Something terribly old-fashioned and a bit twee. In fact, it makes me shudder a little. However, the design innovators have spoken and it looks like fringe is coming back in a big way.
For the time being there aren’t too many products on the market sporting fringing, (cushions and blankets excluded) but we can expect to see the selection grow over the coming months. As always with these trends, it will take a while to filter down to the highstreet and become affordable for the masses. But for now, I’ve picked out a few products below that illustrate the modern fringing trend.

So what is your opinion on fringing in interiors? Do you like the subtle Art Deco nuance or does this still reek of granny chic to you? Will you be jumping on the fancy fringing trend?
This design Looks so cool, but definetily not for a cat owner :-D. I can imagine that a vacuum cleaner Robot could disappear under the Couch easily.
I ADORE this trend! I think it feels really fresh and updated even though I know what you mean about it reminding you of your grandma! Ha! But I consider myself a fan of the look. Of course, as rightly pointed out, I couldn’t realistically have it. My animals would destroy it in a matter of minutes *facepalm* ;) xxx
I’m wondering if this trend appeals more to maximalists?
This trend was obviously not thought up by a cat owner! Would be in shreds in no time 😂😂😂
Definitely not a trend for cat owners!! Imagine the damage.
