Zara Siddiqui-Lester is the talented textile designer behind the colourful company The Colour Union. Her expressive use of colour, type, space and bold pattern has resulted in these fantastic collections of flamboyant furniture and splendiferous soft furnishings.
“I want to mix the old-fashion tradition of products lovingly hand-made with the state-of-the-art innovation of digital printing. My work is all about contradiction,” says Siddiqui-Lester. Creating contemporary antiques that are 100% design, 100% colour, 100% quality and 100% original is the name of the game!
The products are all made in England and my favourite collection has to be Royal Mail, a range of furniture and accessories that is exclusively licensed by the Royal Mail and features the Machin postage stamp.
The collection is currently on promotion over at Achica and there are some cracking deals to be had. But you’d better be quick if you want to bag a bargain as the promotion ends at 7am on Tuesday 6th September. Go, go,go!!!
